WORLD AUTISM AWARENESS DAY- APRIL 2nd
“April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day and April is Autism Awareness Month. Last year, 7 continents, 101 countries, 1,300 cities, 8,400 landmarks and buildings, and even the International Space Station were a part of the movement to “Light It Up Blue” for autism awareness. The following video clip, narrated by a little boy whose brother has autism, talks about where this movement is going and where it’s been. You’ll also hear from Suzanne and Bob Wright, the co-founders of Autism Speaks, and Liz Feld, the president of the company.
Autism affects 70 million people around the world. Odds are, you know someone with autism. Show them and their families that they are not alone.”
